The Choctaw Nation has a herd of buffalo that is in an area in Southeastern Oklahoma known as Buffalo Valley. It's close to Tushkahoma, Oklahoma.

This commemorates the California Gathering that is held in Bakersfield, California. The Okla Chahta Clan holds an annual festival there to promote Choctaw culture.

Gwen regularly participates in Native art festivals and museum exhibits and competitions. She was inducted as a Master Artist for the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in 2007.Choctaw Nation has purchased her art as well as commissioning her work in murals.
